Privacy policy

Studypath turns your course material into a daily study plan. To do that it needs to store your material and your progress. This page explains what we keep, why, and who helps us run the service. We don't sell your data, show ads, or use tracking cookies.

What we store

  • Your account: your email address, the display name you set, and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile Google shares (name, email).
  • Your courses: course names, uploaded files (syllabi, textbooks, slides, notes), the text we extract from them, topics, exam and deadline dates, AI-written lessons and questions.
  • Your studying: sessions, answers, review history, streaks and time studied, used to schedule your reviews and plan your days.
  • Your settings: timezone, daily study minutes, reminder preferences, and the push notification address of each device you turn reminders on for.
  • Moodle calendar (if you connect it): your calendar export link and the exam and deadline dates imported from it. The link contains a personal access token, so only your account can read it and we never show it again.
  • Technical records: how much AI processing each task used, and the standard server logs our hosting keeps for security and debugging.

Cookies

We only use the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

Who processes your data

We use a few service providers to run Studypath. They process data only to provide their service to us.

  • Supabase: database, file storage and sign-in. Data is stored in Singapore.
  • Vercel: hosting. Pages are served from Singapore and a global network.
  • Anthropic: the AI that reads your syllabus, maps your material, and writes lessons and questions. It receives the relevant text from your material when it does that work. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent through its API isn't used to train its models.
  • Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Browser push services (Apple, Google, Mozilla): deliver reminders to devices where you turned them on. They receive the reminder text, not your material.
  • Your Moodle site: if you connect it, we fetch your calendar from it with the link you gave us.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while you have an account. Deleting a course deletes its files, questions and progress. Disconnecting Moodle deletes the link and the dates imported from it. Turning off reminders on a device removes its push address.

Your choices and rights

You can see and change most of your data in the app. To get a copy of your data, correct something, or delete your account and everything in it, email us (a contact address will be added here shortly). We'll act on requests within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example in the EU or UK), you also have the right to object to or restrict processing and to complain to your data protection authority.

Age

Studypath is meant for students aged 16 and over.

Changes

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and its date. For significant changes we'll tell you in the app first.
